My story

Hi, my names is Rasmus, and I’m the founder of EZ Philosophy.

I started my own journey in early 2016 where I was living a life that made me miserable.

On the surface I was doing great, but something inside me wasn’t right, and I woke up every morning dreading getting out of bed – I needed change in my life.

I decided to do something about it, so by Spring I left my job and went searching for new opportunities… But I still wasn’t happy. In fact, I was more lost than ever.

Until a good friend introduced me to self-development and my world opened up.

I started trying new things – things I never thought I would have done (like public speaking) – and I grew so much in the process.

I had the realization (for the first time in my life) that my entire life was in my hands. And that I could do almost exactly what I wanted.

Because I realized that all the skills and personality traits I had seen people around me master, and I wished I had… I could learn them. This blew my mind.

  • I wanted to become better at talking to people – I trained it, I did it.
  • I wanted to become more comfortable touching people – I trained it, I did it.
  • I wanted to take charge of my life and live it the way I wanted to – I trained it, I did it. (Yes, that takes training)

I went from living a life I felt had been pushed down my throat to living a life that I wanted to live. I went travelling, I worked as a public speaking coach, I wrote a book, I started this blog. All because I wanted to.

It took so little to change my life completely, and I can’t imagine where I would have been if I had learned about this 10 years earlier.

So many people (I’m guessing almost everybody) want to live a better life, but like me when I started, they don’t know where to begin.

That lead me to create EZ Philosophy. Because I want you to have the same realization. And to use this site as a place to start your journey to a better life.

Continue and read the EZ Philosophy Worldview to understand that you can make a change, and the Fundamental Beliefs that make out the three cornerstones of our philosophy:

Worldview

EVERYBODY should be able to live the life they want – to live the life they long for. It should not be impossible or even difficult to improve it.

Here at EZ Philosophy we believe that every person who’s dissatisfied with their life is able to – and should – make a change to live the life they want and deserve. Free from the shackles of self-limitation.

Our purpose is to make that task more manageable and diminish the fear of change.

Why are we called “EZ Philosophy”? Well… because our philosophy is easy.

We strive to bring easily understandable and practical philosophy to those aching for change. Because what good is philosophy if it’s not applicable and give constructive input on how to live your life?

It’s important to clarify that EZ Philosophy is not to be understood as easy to implement. Or that it is easy to make changes in your life based on our ideals. Our philosophy is easy to understand and simple to apply, but change will always take effort and dedication, no matter who does it, or what they do – and that is what we ask of you. That you open your mind and make the conscious decision and dedication to live a better life. What we offer is a variety of tools and advice to make the improvements you need, to live the life you deserve. Our philosophy is EZ.

We’re always looking to grow and would love to hear from you if you have an idea for a post or if you believe you can enhance or add to our philosophy, please contact us on EZ@EZ-Philosophy.com.

“It was my fear of failure that first kept me from attempting the Master Work. Now, I’m beginning what I could have started ten years ago. But I’m happy at least that I didn’t wait twenty years” The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho

Fundamental Beliefs

Tools and advice might vary from blogpost to blogpost but there are also some fundamental beliefs in the EZ Philosophy. These three beliefs are so fundamental that if there are ever doubts about what’s meant in the articles, refer to these to find clarity:

The one-size-fits-all unicorn

It doesn’t exist. To all the unicorn enthusiasts out there: sorry.

Trusting in a one-size-fits-all solution is like a carpenter saying he/she only needs a screwdriver. You need the whole toolbox because life will present you with issues in all shapes and sizes.

In attempts to quantify tools and philosophies to be applicable for the general public (and possibly boost book sales), many self-development “gurus” have sold the idea of one-size-fits-all solutions. Because this is what we search for when we venture out into the literary world for help to improve our lives: something simple. “Get fit in 30 days” sells a lot better than “Cut back on all the junkfood you love so much and work out until you feel sick”, but it’s fake.

The truth is that any kind of improvement takes effort and dedication and no one solution can turn your life around quickly.

So understand that every tool or piece of advice on EZ-Philosophy.com is not to be understood as THE solution. They ARE tools and pieces of advice but they are not the only ones. They are but a few colours on the grand palette of your life and you are the painter. Use the colours you find applicable.

Take action

The core of any progress in life is movement. The core of change, no matter the change, is taking action and staying dedicated to doing so – to staying the course. Without movement, without action, things stay the same. If you don’t take action, you won’t see progress.

So, you have to take action. You can’t improve if you sit and wait for change to happen. If you’re not moving forward, at best, you’re moving sideways or standing still.

It’s up to you

Lastly we want to say: it’s up to you. It’s up to you to take action and make that change in your life. We will be with you, on the sideline, every step of the way, but nobody else can do it for you.

It’s up to you. But that’s OK because nobody is more competent to make changes in your life than you.
